I worked late at the Lincoln Gallery today, and was rewarded by this fun sight! I love working in downtown Loveland. #atduskweride

Night Owl Confession #3.14.17-
Recently, I rediscovered "Peter Pan" and have become fascinated with Captain Hook and now Tick-Tock the Crocodile. This was a secret I kept to myself. A couple of days ago, my beloved friend gave me a gift that "didn't resonate" with her, and insisted it belonged to me. So now, I have a little friend... or a part of a little friend, who will always give me a "high five" and say "see you later, alligator" when I leave my studio. I gave it a job of holding a point of citrine to help attract creativity and happiness. This gift makes me appreciate how I can find beauty in everything, and befriend even gifted parts of beings. My lesson from my alligator friend so far are: 1- Be thick skinned. 2- Don't be afraid to open your mouth. 3- Appreciate being a grown up weird kid, and find others like you. No one wants to grow up and be normal. That's far too boring. 4- Finally, all you need is faith, trust and a little fairy dust. I am proud to announce my mixed media piece titled "Invoking Revival" was accepted into the National Fine Art Show at the Lincoln Gallery during the month of April. This particular piece means a lot to me and I'm super excited to share it with many others.
I create one paper collage a year. The labor is intense, but the final product is a textural delight! |
